"The Carers Centre for Brighton & Hove is our city’s local, life-changing carers charity and we recently celebrated our 30th anniversary. Since 1988 we have been providing family carers with emotional support, advice and a well-deserved break from their caring role.
Carers Centre provides a range of activities and groups for Young Carers, including school holiday activities, creative workshops or our term-time drop-in sessions.
These activities give Young Carers the opportunity to take a break from their caring role and build up their confidence and social network with other Young Carers. Each of these young people have something special in common – a caring role at home for a parent or sibling with a disability. This can be a long term or life limiting illness, a mental health condition or a substance misuse issue."
